As the Association Series season closes, the ‘Champs’ season begins. In the ‘good news/bad news’ department, Christian McC. led all qualifiers into the final with his 8.56 PR. Bad news was his false start in the finals! Arrgh! His time puts him about 16th in the state and he should be safe, as they take 24.

The Distance Medley win had good efforts all around with freshman Alexander Schultz leading off with a respectable 1200 leg of 3:30.60. After moving past the leaders with a lap to go, he handed to soph Brett Lehman who navigated through some lapped teams to a 54.73 PR. Solomon Thistle lengthened the lead with his 2:11.82, equaling his indoor best. Miler Caymus Ruffner was off to the races hoping to hold off fast – closing Penncrest and Great Valley. A five second PR of 4:50.29 proved more than enough to seal the win in 11:27.43.  All under-classmen!

Soph Zac Dallal posted his third PR on the season. 800 split on 12/29, mile on 1/26 and 3000 9:40.86 yesterday, good enough for 6th.
