Northeast Philly – The first time we ‘loaded up’ our 4×8 paid off with a win. On paper, 8:10 looked reasonable and still is down the road. Chase Bethea, who’s willing to do just about anything to help the team, sacrificed a probable win at 300 hurdles to lead the team off with a respectable 2:03.40. We stayed in a close second throughout (Brendan Tatko 2:06.47, Joey Linville 2:10.13 PR ) with Grayson Ruffner tracking the leader and out kicking him for the win. Brandon Haines (2:04 PR) was taking an AP test and will replace Joey at Leagues. Grayson split a 2:03 just to win it. With his PR of 1:59, and the other guys dropping times, 8:10 is do-able.

We had a scare with Isaiah tweaking something in the 100M finals causing him to jog across the line. With our biggest meets of the year coming up this week, (double dual with PW and Upper Dublin on Tuesday and Penn Relays this weekend), this is not good. We’ll see. (And just as our #2 sprinter Jaylen Foster is due back from injury tomorrow! Aaaargh!)

Soph Mike Ross is figuring out the High Jump, placing 3rd with an easy clearance of 5-10 PR. He also PRd with an 18-6 Long Jump.

Julian Perkins’ Jav is getting consistent in the 130′ range. 128-11 good for 2nd place.
