It is often said that showing up is half the battle. Even though our times were still stuck in the December doldrums we scored lots of hardware with many teams opting out of this one due to the holidays.

The chief benefactor of the lack of attendance had to be the 4×8. With the MOC standard at 8:36.24, our 9:02.84 (Dallal 2:07.65 PR indoors or out) was good enough to win the division (1st or 2nd in an Association meet is an auto-qualifier)!

Along with the 4×8 win, other medalists included Brett Lehman 5th at 200, Robert Wilson 3rd at 400, Taraji Ellington 5th in the long jump and the novice 4×4 in 4th.

EDITORIAL

Lack of focus seems to be an issue which needs to be addressed. Every meet we have had athletes missing the bus with relays being effected each time. Yesterday we almost missed two races due to athletes not checking in for their events (our winning 4×8 being one of them). Let’s go, boys!!

60HH – McCarry 10.34 (hit first hurdle)

200M – Lehman 24.93 5th

400M – Wilson 55.26 3rd

1600 – Possoff 6:04.91

3000 – Le 11:37.97

Novice 4×4 – 4:08.42 4th place (Carr 59.95, Yang 62.79, Reilly 63.96, Kochens 61.72) (yes, we have auto-timing on splits thanks to our timing service, Mahoney Timing at Run.tf)

4×8 – 9:02.84 1st place (Schultz 2:19.97, Dallal 2:07.65 PR, Thistle 2:13.97, Cimini 2:21.24)

Long Jump – Ellington 15-9 5th
