Participation continues to be a problem, this being the tail end of Christmas break. Add to that, Ethan Dolberry-Wescott was a late scratch at 60HH citing an injury, and Eric Papazian pulled a hip muscle in the first 50 meters of his 4×4 carry. Bright spots? There were a few!
This week’s event of choice was the 4×800. Ben Hoyer, Andy Harman, Randy Schwemmer and Cam Christopher dominated an albeit weak field to win the event in 8:36.97. Andy’s 2:04 second leg blew it open. First place is an auto-qualifier for MOC.
Justin Cooper upped his PR in the shot again by breaking 40′ for the first time. 40-1 being good enough on this day to grab a 4th place medal.
Gotta give props to Matt Maiale. His mile goal was 5:20. He crushed that with a surprising 5:05.67.
